19-year-old Clarence Cameron of Bendals is charged with the murder of Omarrie Graham, also of Bendals.
The heart-wrenching reality of a mother seeing her own child on the stand for murder is a nightmare that no one should ever have to experience.
Unfortunately, for the Cameron family of family, this nightmare has become their harsh reality.
To make matters worse, it took the police almost five days to bring charges against the teenager who is accused of killing Omarrie Graham, also from Bendals.
Graham was reportedly stabbed during an altercation when he was attacked with a sharp object.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead three hours later.
The family of Graham is also devastated by this tragic event.
They have to live with the harsh reality that they will not see their son again in this lifetime.
The loss of a loved one is never easy, but losing someone through such senseless violence is truly heartbreaking.
This tragic incident has once again highlighted the need for the general public to find peaceful ways of resolving differences and working towards a more compassionate and understanding society.
It’s a sad reminder that our actions have consequences and that we must strive to make the world a better place for everyone.
This may be the perfect time to speak to our children and their peers about conflict resolution WITHOUT weaponry. This is a sad situation that could have had better results if cooler heads prevailed. Now two families have to face a long trial and devastating images and words. Teach the kids!!!!
