Antigua and Barbuda welcomes 500,000th cruise passenger today

Today, St. John’s Harbour is buzzing with excitement as the country sets a new record by welcoming 500 thousand cruise ship passengers in just over four months.

According to Rawle Reynolds, the Operations Manager at the Antigua Cruise Port, the country has already received over 496-thousand cruise passengers from 253 calls as of May 5th.

But that’s not all – two massive ships, the Celebrity Beyond and Norwegian Sky, are expected to dock today with a combined total of over 4-thousand passengers, bringing the total number to just over 501-thousand passengers in less than five months!

This fantastic news has sent ripples of excitement across the tourism industry, and the Antigua Cruise Port is anticipating a bumper year for cruise passengers in 2024.
