Kevin Vasciannie was muurdered at G Spot Night Club

Law enforcement officials have taken three individuals into custody in relation to the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man outside a nightclub in St John’s in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The victim, Kevin Vasciannie, was gunned down around 4:30 am after an altercation inside the Asylum club, formerly known as the G Spot, spilled out onto the street. Tragically, Mr. Vasciannie was the son of the club’s operator.

Over the past day, the police have arrested three men in connection with this incident, which marks the country’s fifth homicide of the year so far.

One arrest occurred when officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Independence Drive around 3:30 pm on Thursday, though no evidence of interest was uncovered. The other two individuals taken into custody are a 32-year-old man from Independence Drive and a 31-year-old man from Buckleys.

Meanwhile, a second individual injured in Wednesday’s shooting, Darien Rover, remains hospitalized at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. Mr. Rover, who sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, underwent emergency surgery and is currently recovering on the surgical ward.
