William Nouy

The case involving a Jolly Harbour motorist accused of causing life-changing injuries to a tourist has been thrown out.

The victim, William Nouy, hailing from Guadeloupe, was reportedly hit by Katja Geisler while walking to an apartment in the vicinity of Falmouth Harbour Marina on June 5, 2022.

Left with extensive brain injuries, Nouy was initially thought to have non-life-threatening injuries but his condition worsened, eventually leading to a coma.

Subsequent to being airlifted to his home country and then flown to Paris for extensive treatment, Nouy gradually regained his ability to walk, eat without assistance, and converse with loved ones.

Lawrence Daniels, representing Geisler, cited the police’s lack of progress in producing a case file and the victim’s departure from Antigua as grounds for the court’s dismissal of the case.
