Former Airport Authority CEO Euletta Francis

The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer from Trinidad and Tobago.

The incoming CEO is set to assume office on Monday. This appointment follows the interim leadership of Avery Henry, who took over after Euletta Francis resigned.

The individual will be named in a later publication.

Francis cited an incident involving the Prime Minister in her resignation letter, alleging that he “berated” her in the presence of Osmond Lake of Sunrise Airways.

She claimed that the Prime Minister questioned her decision to schedule a business discussion for two weeks later instead of two days, pointing out her involvement in a significant loan deal for the airport at the time.

This confrontation reportedly left Francis feeling embarrassed and demoralized.

Tensions escalated further as Francis claimed the Prime Minister accused her of raising her voice and then proceeded to make disparaging remarks.

She also alleged that the Prime Minister continued to target her on his weekly radio show.
