The well-being and security of our students who are engaged in their studies in Jamaica is of utmost importance. Minister Matthew is actively communicating with the Jamaican authorities to ensure all necessary precautions are taken to protect our students during this difficult period.

We wish to reassure the families and loved ones of the students that we are closely monitoring the situation closely to evaluate their condition and provide the needed support.

The Minister will provide a plan of action and the necessary assistance to the students as soon as we area able to make direct contact and understand their specific situations and requirements.

Minister Matthew and the Ministry of Education are prepared to assist and support our students in Jamaica as they deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.
