Murder accused Brittany Jno-Baptiste to stand trial in November

On November 18, murder accused Brittany Jno-Baptiste will be standing trial for allegedly murdering Jane Finch in 2021.

Jno-Baptiste, who is in her early 20s, is accused of murdering the Piccadilly resident in her home on the night of October 4, 2021.

The accused was reportedly discovered in Finch’s home on the day in question, along with the woman’s lifeless body with a number of stab wounds.

It is said that Finch called the police moments prior and also posted on social media asking for help with an intruder.

Initially, the defendant was diagnosed with a psychological disorder, but after months of treatment, she was deemed fit to enter a plea.

Earlier this year, she pleaded not guilty and yesterday a trial date was finalized.
