On Saturday, a search for a missing 13-year-old, Kemba Marshall, brought together dozens of local residents, soldiers, and police in the Five Islands area.
The search, led by the Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda (CCAB) group, aimed to find Kemba, who has been missing for over four months.
The search yielded some encouraging leads, with credible information suggesting that Kemba is still alive.
The CCAB president, Dr. Jacqui Quinn, mentioned that several community members reported sightings of Kemba between February and July, raising hopes of his well-being.
Kemba was last seen by his father on March 1, and his father expressed concerns about his whereabouts after discovering that Kemba had left the house to visit his mother in Five Islands, a claim he doubts.
Despite his absence from Five Islands Primary School for months, education officials, family members, and volunteers remain optimistic about Kemba’s safe return.
The search, which commenced at 6:15 am on Saturday, included approximately 30 residents, 20 soldiers, and 15 police officers.
Although Kemba’s whereabouts remain unknown, the community continues to appeal for his safe return, expressing hope that he will soon reunite with his family.
