Prime Minister Gaston Browne has emphasized the importance of embracing new technologies to drive transformative growth and development in the Caribbean region.

He spoke at the Artificial Intelligence Research conference hosted by the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus, highlighting the need for leaders in both the public and private sectors, as well as academia, to pursue innovative growth and development through cutting-edge AI and digitalization technologies.

PM Browne emphasized the significance of early technology adoption and primary research to create custom technological solutions to address the region’s needs.

He also underscored the role of creativity and innovation in driving technological leadership and highlighted the potential benefits of leveraging artificial intelligence for the region’s accelerated progress.
