Regional: Two killed in Arima, three-year-old shot in bloody night

A YTEPP student was among two shot and killed on Saturday morning at Maturita Trace, Arima. A three-year-old child, Aiden Richardson, was also shot. He is receiving treatment at Arima Hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Dwayne Richardson, 34, a construction worker and Latoya Vosien, 31, a YTEPP student.

Police reported around 3:35 am on Saturday, they responded to a report of a shooting.

On arrival, they met a relative who reported that around 3:30 am she was awakened by loud explosions. She made checks at the room of her brother and observed a door on the northern side of the room broken and she also heard her brother say, “I get shoot real bad. I wouldn’t be able to make it.” Further checks revealed Vosien lying motionless on a bed.

She also observed her three-year-old nephew lying on the ground of the living room covered in blood. She took possession of him and rushed him to the Arima Health Facility.
