A 12-year-old allegedly suffocated her cousin after the pair got into a dispute over an iPhone while at their grandmother’s house.
The unidentified girl, who turns 13 next week, allegedly used bedding to suffocate Demeria Hollingsworth, eight, before cleaning up and repositioning her body on Monday, according to WREG.
‘I just lost my baby, the most beautiful child of God,’ Hollingsworth’s mother, Rayana ‘Rayy’ Smith, wrote on GoFundMe. ‘The pain I’m feeling is unbearable. I have to now live life without her in this crazy world.
‘I never imagined anything like this would happen and now find myself trying to fund a funeral.’
Police have obtained a video of the violent act, which they say shows the 12-year-old suffocating the little girl while she was ‘sleeping in the top bunk,’ according to District Attorney of the 28th Judicial District, Frederick Agee.
