20 July 2024 - 09:47

The police are searching for the male suspect involved in a robbery at Gloria’s Supermarket on Whenner Road.

Around 7:30 pm on Friday, July 19, the police responded to a report of robbery at the said business place, where a male suspect held the cashier at gun point and robbed the owners of an undisclosed amount of money.

The assailant fled the scene on foot toward the Cashew Hill area, then boarded a vehicle. No one was injured.

He is said to be approximately 5ft, 5 inches in height, and wearing a pair of long
blue jeans pants, and a multicolored hoddie. He also had a black mask concealing his face.

The police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious person or vehicle in the area, or have any information that can assist them with their investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or the Grays Farm Police Station at 462-0481.

Meanwhile, the police continue to appeal to business owners to pay closer attention to safety and security of their businesses; especially during hours of closing. Busines owners who may need assistance from the police can contact the police headquarters at 462-0125.
