In the Junior Calypso Monarch competition in Antigua and Barbuda, young Calypsonian Ruez successfully defended his crown.

Ruez stood out among a group of talented performers in the 13 to 19 Category with his song “Home Bound.”

De Boss placed second with his song “Ah Love Me Country,” and third place went to Princess Lay Lay with “Republic.”

In the Five to 12 Category, Princess Faith delivered a spirited performance of her tune “Young Soldier” to dethrone Empress Buchanan, who had to settle for second place with her song “Robbers.”

Queen Bee secured the third-place award.
