POLICE ISSUE STATEMENT ON INCIDENT AT BISHOPGATE STREET

The police are continuing investigations into an incident that occurred around 8pm on Thursday, August 8, at Bishopgate Street.

The police were on mobile patrol in the city when they spotted a motor car at the corner of Pope’s Head and Bishopgate Streets with the occupants inside acting suspiciously.

The police signaled to the driver of the vehicle to stop, however, the vehicle sped away from the scene with the police in immediate pursuit. The chase ended on Bishopgate Street after the driver collided into another vehicle.

The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of robbery. No one was injured coming out the incident. Further investgations are ongoing.

  2. The police sure the guys did a robbery? what if they was just drunk and saw something scary in they eyes rather than police so they decided to takeoff just what if

    • If their drunk they shouldn’t be driving. All in all they stopped something from possibly happening. Or they caught them after doing something. Either way never run from the police especially if you’re innocent. Now their in custody they’ll explain for themselves.
