No Reports of Injuries However Minimal Damage from TS Ernesto says NODS
PRESS STATEMENT
There have been no reports of injuries; however, there is some minimal damage from the weather associated with Tropical Storm Ernesto.
A few district disaster coordinators reported downed and uprooted trees and damaged electrical posts.
As a precautionary measure, shelters throughout the island were opened last night (Monday) but only two individuals occupied a shelter in St Paul.
The tropical storm warning has since been lifted and the all-clear given but residents are advised to continue to be safe as there is still a risk of flooding.
