Convict Shot by Police Following Robbery in Yeptons

The Sir Lester Bird Medical Center is currently treating a 20-year-old man from the Grays Farm area who sustained gunshot wounds.

This young man, who was released from prison this February, was shot and injured by the police following a robbery in Yepton’s earlier today.

According to a report by Antigua.news earlier, he was one of three individuals involved in robbing two beachgoers of their cell phones at Yeptons.

Upon receiving the call, the police promptly arrived at the scene and discovered him during a search of the area.

The stolen cellular phones were allegedly found in his possession. While he was being taken into custody, he allegedly assaulted the officers with a firearm, resulting in him being shot in one of his arms. He has since been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Additionally, this 20-year-old is also being linked to a shooting near the CMC Supermarket on Wednesday and was sought by the police in connection with that incident.
