PRESS RELEASE

On August 24th, 2024, over 25 influential women leaders and emerging voices came together at the prestigious Black Sails, Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, for Picture Her Power: A Brunch with Trailblazing Women.

Hosted by The Directorate of Gender Affairs with sponsorship from ACB Caribbean, the event provided a platform for participants to engage in meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing women in leadership today, as well as discuss the importance of female representation in the political arena and media representation

Through interactive activities like the “Carousel Conversations,” attendees shared insights, strategies, and personal experiences, contributing to a rich dialogue on how to further empower women in these critical sectors.

“Picture Her Power was not just about networking—it was about igniting change,” said Mrs. T’Chell Antonio, Programme Officer at The Directorate of Gender Affairs. “We hope that the energy and ideas shared here today will have a lasting impact as we continue to work towards greater representation and equity for women.”

The event concluded with a brunch, where participants continued their conversations in a more informal setting, further strengthening the sense of community and shared purpose.
