A medical doctor charged with serious indecency due to allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior by a female patient has had his committal hearing postponed to November 14.

The doctor, who has not been publicly named due to the sensitive nature of the case, was arrested on Friday.

The alleged misconduct reportedly took place during a routine medical examination. The patient, whose identity remains confidential, reported the incident, prompting the legal proceedings.

Attorney Lawrence Daniel is representing the accused doctor.

  8. It is clear in the Antigua public opinion that whoever this doctor is, he is already guilty.
I think it is very wise, by law, that names of accused or accuser are not published.
I have known of cases of false reports of rape and even to this day, long after been found not guilty, the accused life has be almost totally disrupted. I wonder if there is provision for counter / civil suit if the accused is innocent.
