Minister Matthew praises the accomplishments of two rising stars
Minister of Education, Sports, and The Creative Industries, Hon. Daryll S. Matthew, extends heartfelt congratulations to Uchenna Ohaegbulam and Jewel Andrew for their outstanding accomplishments, which have brought great pride to Antigua and Barbuda.
Uchenna Ohaegbulam has excelled in the 2024 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations, achieving top marks across multiple subjects. His academic success is a shining example of the dedication, discipline, and perseverance that we strive to foster in all our students.
Uchenna’s achievements are a reflection of not only his hard work, but also the unwavering support from his family, teachers, and the broader educational community. His success speaks volumes about the quality of education in Antigua and Barbuda and the bright future that lies ahead for our young scholars.
Equally deserving of praise is Jewel Andrew, who delivered an outstanding performance of fifty (50) not out in the first Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. His skill, determination, and sportsmanship on the field have earned him recognition as one of the promising talents in our nation’s cricketing landscape.
Jewel’s success underscores the positive impact of sports development programs in Antigua and Barbuda and serves as an inspiration to other young athletes.
These remarkable achievements by Uchenna and Jewel speak volumes about the growth and development of our young people. They embody the spirit of excellence that we aim to cultivate in all areas—whether in academics, sports, or the creative industries. Their successes are a source of immense pride for our nation and serve as an inspiration to other young individuals who aspire to reach similar heights.
