PM Browne to meet with Grays Farm Killers Monday

Prime Minister Gaston Browne

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced plans to hold a meeting with the Grays Farm Killers (GFK), one of the most notorious gangs in the country, on Monday.

The intention behind this meeting is to facilitate an end to the conflicts and gang warfare that have been plaguing the island.

This decision follows a previous meeting on Thursday night, during which the Prime Minister engaged with 2Drilly, another well-known gang on the island.

The GFK has been involved in violent confrontations, utilizing cutlasses and cleavers, resulting in serious injuries to various individuals.

Prime Minister Browne’s proactive approach aims to address and mitigate the impact of gang-related violence in the community.

  1. Careful prime minister Browne. I hope this doesn’t make things worse. I see your efforts and I see your heart. But sometimes no matter what you do for these young men they love the street life…

  7. Action speaks louder than words. I love the PM”s approach…communication.; however, I pray that is paired with action for it is my belief that poverty is at the heart of criminality. How do we address said poverty? By training these young people in a life long skill whereby they can support themselves and their families. A vocational school where skills such as plumbing; electrical, auto mechanics and the like are offered, should be implemented. Factories should be built where agricultural produce are preserved in some fashion and sold at home and abroad. We could start with the over abundance and waste of mangoes, for example . Send some of our scholars overseas to learn food preservation on a grand scale and have them return to the island and teach the youth these skills. It’s going to take positive action to combat the negative and while we can’t save everybody we can at least try.
