MET Office First Weather Broadcast in Spanish Tested

The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service (ABMS) is proud to announce its first-ever [experimental] weather broadcasts in Spanish, a significant step towards ensuring inclusive communication for the Spanish-speaking community.

This initiative is aligned with the global mandate of “Early Warning for All,” which highlights the importance of timely and accurate weather information for every segment of society. By providing these broadcasts in Spanish, we aim to ensure that critical weather updates, warnings, and safety instructions reach more people, reducing the risk of harm and increasing preparedness across the country.
