This expansion comes after the carrier’s successful entry into Eastern Caribbean markets in May 2024, when it began serving Antigua, Dominica, St Kitts, and St Lucia.

Bayard expressed optimism about the potential for growth and success across the broader Eastern Caribbean region.

The rollout will take place in three phases, with the first phase commencing on October 27, 2024.

During this phase, thrice-weekly flights to Grenada and four-times-weekly service to Guadeloupe and St Vincent will be initiated, all originating from Antigua with connections available to Dominica, St Kitts, and St Lucia. Phase II, which is set to launch on December 2, 2024, will introduce twice-weekly flights to Tortola, British Virgin Islands, originating in Antigua with continuing service to Santo Domingo.

Connections will be available for passengers from Dominica and St Kitts. The final phase, beginning on December 4, 2024, will see the introduction of twice-weekly nonstop flights linking Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.

Ambitious move when according to on the ground reports Sunrise is plagued with operational difficulties?
Would it not be prudent if you to “sure-up” your inadequacies before such a strident announcement?

Finally I will be able to get direct to Guadeloupe, one of my favourite destinations. That will reopen this market which has been left void since COVID.
