The first-ever WOW Factor Awards, organized by Irise Management Services’ Orena David-Charles, took center stage this weekend at Sandals Grande Antigua, recognizing outstanding customer service across various sectors.

The red carpet event brought together professionals from diverse fields including education, sports, hospitality, tourism, sales, marketing, and finance to celebrate excellence in customer service.

The awards aim to highlight and honor exceptional customer service, emphasizing its crucial role in today’s competitive business environment.

Among the  recipients were:

 

Sports and Education: Oslyn Gregory of Cyclones basketball Club
Sales and Marketing: Darshanie Singh from Frank B Armstrong
Financial Services: Earl Richards of ECAB
Hospitality and Tourism: Carlene Spencer from Sandals Grande Antigua

In the Manufacturing, Industry, and Energy category, which was uncontested, F. Grantley Gomes received a special mention for their contributions.

The Entrepreneur category, also uncontested, saw Wilfred Henry of Iplumb268 receiving a special mention for his entrepreneurial efforts in customer service.

  1. This is awesome and a great start because Lord knows my experience with customer service reps in Antigua has been despicable. Nasty attitudes abound but there is one young lady at the old Scotia bank location who deals with issues and new accounts. She’s not a regular teller( I believe her last name is Andrews) who is very courteous, knowledgeable, patient and just an all around people person that all who interact with the public should aspire to be like. Hopefully change comes quickly in this area.
