Antiguan soca artist Empress places 2nd in Caribbean Soca competition

Over the weekend, Antiguan Soca artist Empress placed 2nd in a regional soca competition that included 10 different countries.

Dominca’s Benji won the crown in what was the first regional Soca contest called KariSoca.

Rae from Trinidad nabbed the 3rd place spot.

The competition which took place in Antigua on Saturday included D Phillip Blackest from the US Virgin Islands, Christy D from Barbados, Dominica’s Mr Gwada, Lyrikal from Montserrat, Riggy from Grenada,Imran Nerdy from St. Lucia, TR Shine from Belize, and Ras Kelly representing St. Kitts.
