A man has been sentenced to over 20 years in prison for raping his own daughter.
The man, whose identity is protected, pleaded guilty to four counts of incest that occurred between 2014 and 2015. This resulted in the victim becoming pregnant at just 15 years old.
The victim, now 27, had previously revealed a history of abuse that began when she was 11 years old.
Justice Ann Marie Smith sentenced the man to 11 years and 4 months for each count of incest. Two of the counts will run consecutively, meaning he will spend a total of 22 years and 8 months in prison.
His time on remand will be deducted.
Her mother should have been arrested to. She knew that her husband was raping her daughter and she turned a blind eye to protect her husband. Mothers are suppose to protect their children no matter what
Her mother should be in a prison cell too since both parents failed this young lady. In fact, that dog should be castrated. Sending love, light, peace and healing to you young lady. Know that none of this was your fault. Forgive them for yourself and for your healing because the opposite would be like you drinking poison and expecting them to die; so, yes- forgive even though you can never forget. Finally, protect your children. Be ever vigilant and a better parent to them than yours were to you.
