Three Individuals Facing Theft Charges in Separate Incidents Appear in Court

Three defendants appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Monday, each confronting distinct theft allegations that ranged from home break-ins to agricultural theft.

Iesha Chiddick, a 25-year-old from Grays Farm, stands accused of breaking into a home on Factory Road on November 28.

She is alleged to have stolen a metal safe, laptop, mobile phone, and other electronic items collectively valued near $5,000.

Police are continuing investigations and believe additional individuals may be involved. Chiddick was remanded until December 10.

Jahmalie Sadeeky Simms, 20, from Hatton, was charged with breaking into a home at Lower Gambles on November 24.

He allegedly stole a PlayStation 4 game console, television, mobile phone, laptop computer, and clothing. Simms pleaded guilty and was also remanded until December 10.

The third case involved Kadeem Morrissey, a 29-year-old from Golden Grove, who was charged with praedial larceny for stealing a bunch of green bananas from a property in Cassada Gardens on November 28.

Morrissey pleaded not guilty and was granted bail on his own recognizance, with his case adjourned until January 13, 2025.
