Police Continue Investigation into killing of Jennings man

Kejauni Adams of Parham was also shot

Police are continuing investigations into a shooting incident on Redcliffe Street, which resulted in the death of 22-year-old Javaughn Joseph of Jennings and left Kejauni Adams of Parham nursing a gunshot wound.

It was reported that around 3 am on Monday, December 16, an unknown male discharged a firearm, while both men were on Redcliffe Street, and shot them.

Joseph sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen, while Adam was shot in the back of his neck. They were taken to the hospital, where Joseph was pronounced dead at 3:36 am. Adams was treated and later discharged.

The police are appealing to anyone with information surrounding this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers anonymous hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).

  3. The question that comes to me is what was the purpose of them being on redclift street at 3am.? Then the fact that one of them got shot in the back of his neck suggests he was probably running from his attacker while the other victim was facing him and got shot in his abdomen. So was this a potential robbery gone bad or something else?
