Close to two thousand residents gathered to pay tribute to the late St. Peter MP, whose untimely passing last month has left a profound impact on the community.
Many attendees donned white Asot Cares T-shirts, a symbol of unity and remembrance, as they held their candles high in honor of his legacy.
Leading the heartwarming candlelight vigil was Rawdon Turner, who had previously contested the St. Peter seat against Micheal during the last general elections.
Turner spoke about Michael with deep emotion, describing him as not only a friend but also a mentor, brother, and father figure to many.
“He was everything to the people—not just to St. Peter, but to the entire nation of Antigua and Barbuda,” Turner reflected, his voice resonating with admiration. “This man exemplified what true service to the community looks like, inspiring countless individuals in his unwavering commitment to the country.”
