Members of the ABLP Cabinet at Swearing in Ceremony of Rawdon Turner

In a display of solidarity, Cabinet members attended Rawdon Turner’s swearing-in ceremony, marking his official appointment as the new Minister of Social and Urban Transformation.

The ceremony underscored the government’s commitment to his leadership and the significant responsibilities that lie ahead.

Following the ceremony, the Cabinet reconvened in the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss the expectations for Minister Turner’s tenure.

Among the primary objectives outlined were the urgent clean-up and beautification of commercial St. John’s, a critical initiative aimed at enhancing the city’s public spaces and overall appearance.

Another key responsibility highlighted during the discussions is the regulation of vending operations throughout the city’s streets and public areas.

This initiative aims to ensure that vending activities comply with local regulations while promoting a thriving entrepreneurial environment.

Additionally, the Cabinet is looking forward to Minister Turner bringing a fresh perspective and renewed energy to the management of the St. John’s Development Corporation, an organization pivotal in the city’s growth and urban planning.
