72,000 DOLLARS WORTH OF CANNABIS SEIZED AT AIRPORT

Police have seized approximately $72,000 dollars worth of cannabis at the V.C.Bird International Airport.

During a routine search of the Customs Cargo Shed on Friday, police and customs officers found six vacuum-sealed packages of the controlled substance inside a cardboard box.

The substance weighed 12 pounds and was taken to the police.

Further investigations are ongoing into the matter.
