Exceptional women across Antigua and Barbuda will soon take centre stage as the Women of Wadadli (WOW) Awards return for 2025.
This recognition program, jointly presented by the Directorate of Gender Affairs and Caribbean Union Bank, shines a spotlight on female changemakers who shape the nation’s future.
The awards span multiple disciplines, celebrating achievements in everything from the creative arts to technological innovation.
Nominees must be at least 30 years old and have demonstrated remarkable impact in their chosen field, whether it’s advancing education, excelling in sports, or breaking new ground in science and technology.
At the heart of the celebration is the coveted Dame Gwendolyn Tonge Lifetime Legacy Award, reserved for distinguished women aged 55 and above whose leadership and accomplishments have left an indelible mark on society.
Residents have until February 6 to put forward their nominations through the Department of Gender Affairs’ Facebook page, where they’ll find a direct link to the nomination form.
