Attempted Murder Trial to Move to Crime Scene Following Key Evidence Presentation

The High Court will conduct a site visit today at Dove Trail Beach, marking the next phase in an attempted murder trial where prosecutors allege a premeditated attack occurred in January 2020.

This development follows Thursday’s proceedings, where crime scene photos were shown.

Crime scene photographs presented to the court documented significant blood evidence throughout the suspect’s vehicle, including traces on the wheel, right door, and passenger seat.

Investigators also identified a pool of blood on the roadway at Dove Trail, supporting the prosecution’s timeline of events.

Evidence so far establishes that the relationship between the two individuals began in 2018, when the accused was 17 and the complainant was 27.

Their social media communications, presented as evidence, included requests for financial assistance and the purchase of an iPhone.

While the complainant had expressed romantic interest, documented messages showed the accused’s stated discomfort with intimate contact.

The financial aspect of their relationship culminated in a $100 loan, which the accused was unable to repay.

According to evidence presented, this led to an arrangement where the accused agreed to sexual contact as an alternative form of repayment.

However, the encounter became bloody when the accused reportedly attacked the victim as they were about to get started.

Defence counsel Michael Archibald has presented an alternative narrative, arguing that his client’s actions were prompted by him being held by his neck when attempting to withdraw consent.

The trial which began on Monday is nearing the end.

  1. Seems like Dame Sherese Bramble was quite correct when she stated that she 90% of Antiguan men engage in homosexual activities as a norm!!!!! My goodness! No wonder that AIDS seems to be on the rise again according to health authorities.
