Historic Milestone for Eastern Caribbean Telecom Operators as Mr. Vaughn Brown is Elected to the CANTO Board of Directors

In a historic development for the telecommunications industry in the Eastern Caribbean, Mr. Vaughn Brown, APUA Telecoms Business Unit Manager, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organizations (CANTO).

This milestone occurred during CANTO’s 41st Annual General Meeting, CANTO Connect, held January 26-28, 2025, at the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort.

Mr Brown is a seasoned telecom professional with 30 years of industry experience.

This is a welcomed opportunity for APUA to be represented on the prestigious board, underscoring the growing influence of regional players in shaping the telecommunications landscape.

Mr. Brown brings a wealth of industry expertise and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by independent operators in the region.

His leadership promises to be a transformative force as CANTO continues to advocate for digital innovation and connectivity throughout the Caribbean.

Mr. Brown’s election comes as CANTO welcomes Mr. Delreo Newman of ATN International as its new Chairman, signaling a renewed focus on strategic industry leadership.
