Former Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Cadet Takes Flight with Frontier Airlines

T’Quan James

Antigua and Barbuda celebrated the inaugural flight of Frontier Airlines from San Juan, Puerto Rico, coinciding with the achievement of T’Quan James, a young Antiguan and a graduate of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Cadet Corps. James recently joined Frontier Airlines as a Flight Attendant.

He credits the Cadet Corps, established in 2003 by former Director of Tourism Shirlene Nibbs, with shaping his career path and sparking his passion for aviation. The program equips students with essential skills and knowledge about the tourism sector, vital for the nation’s economy.

During his cadet training, James gained valuable experience in customer service, hospitality, and marketing, which drew him towards a career in aviation. He started his role at Frontier Airlines in January 2025 and has found the experience enriching and rewarding.

James expressed excitement about being part of a team committed to excellent service and welcomed the expansion of Frontier Airlines as a boost to Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism industry. The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority congratulated him on his success and the arrival of Frontier Airlines on February 15, 2025.
