A major partner in the initiative, the Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS), offered nutritional and mental health information, patient registration, and general wellness information.

A standout feature of the fair was the diabetic foot care services where seniors were treated to specialized foot health treatments.

St. John’s Rural North Branch Chairman, Mr. Peter Abraham also made a donation of a children’s wheelchair on behalf of his son, Peter Abraham Jr to the Cedar Grove Community Clinic during the community Health fair.

Member of Parliament for St. John’s Rural North, the Hon. H. Charles Fernandez, lauded the success of the health fair and expressed his delight at the strong turnout, particularly among young people and young adults.

“It is clear that our residents are prioritizing their health and engaging in community-based initiatives. I, too, participated—getting screened and tested while interacting with our dedicated healthcare professionals who generously volunteered their time and expertise. The Cedar Grove Community Clinic remains a pillar of healthcare in our community, and I will continue to support its growth and development.” – Fernandez stated.

MP Fernandez also extended his gratitude to the AUA students and faculty, Doctors Cox and Gordon, and the dedicated nursing team—including Nurses Gloade, Quallis, Nathaniel, Georges, and CHA Stevens—for their invaluable contributions.

The success of this year’s St. John’s Rural North Health Fair underscores the importance of accessible healthcare and community-driven wellness initiatives, reinforcing the constituency’s commitment to a healthier and more informed population.
