My girlfriend has been raped by her father continuously and it is affecting our entire life. She said it started when she was 15 and she is now 21.
She never told anyone, but during intercourse, she would place her hands over her face. When I asked her why she did that she told me what happened. We went to the police, but they did not act on it.
She is now too ashamed to pursue the matter but it is affecting our lives. This has damaged her and I donât know where to go or what to do. I am hoping by placing this in the media her father will see the damage he has caused his child.
I want to make this woman my wife one day but the damage done will clearly affect the way going forward.
I am also concerned about our legal system. She went to the police and made a report yet her father has not been arrested. This man also has a younger daughter and I am scared he may have done and could be doing this to this poor girl.
I believe his sister or cousin is a police officer and I am unclear whether this is why he wasnât arrested.
I have asked my girlfriend to continue to pursue it but the shame is preventing her. I donât know if using Antigua.news forum will help at all. I came here because I saw similar stories about matters like this right here.

Sad. There is an institution called Legal Aide. Please contact them for advise on this matter. Sometimes name and shame is the only way. Praying for your situation
Sad to say, but in Antigua the justice system is off. They talk about rape and still do it. Also be reminded there are many rapist within the Royal Police Force. But to go on, may this young lady seek the counseling she needs, or even turn to God. You sir can protect her and love her and make her feel protected. Sorry to hear, and get that little sister out of there, she may be hurting and canât talk either
Thereâs such this as Justice system in Antigua? Whoever he has in the force should be ashamed of herself. You are a woman as well, brother or not, could even be your very own husband, get him off the streets. Who knows how many young ladies heâs done or doing this to. Then yâall judge these young ladies by the way they behave. This is not right. He needs to be killed
This is ridiculous…. when will ppl allow justice to take its course….. if this woman officer allow her brother to go free after putting his own daughter through hell…. she is no better than him.
Somebody should rape her mercilessly and let her feel what her neice is going through.

Wasn’t it just recently that another father was jailed for fathering a child with his daughter?.. A wa really rang wid some men? You mek the of us feel shame. The sentence should be to cut off the business in public

Such unfortunate events in the life of a young lady. Can’t even live her life in peace. Fathers never know what they are doing to their daughters. And i will not speak of the justice system in Antigua. The corrupted pokice force are the reason crime wont stop

I can tell that u love ur girl friend.. hearts off to u.. don’t allow this to break ur guys give it to God in pray, pray together and ask God to guide ur way together.
U all can even do a fast and pray ask God to break the barriers and bring justice and peace to u guys and to strengthen ur relationship

That a father would do something like that to his own child is heart breaking. I pray for you young lady. I have my own story to tell of familial sexual abuse but in due time and no it was not my father. Sexual demons manifest themselves through females abusing other female family members too and the shame of it affects the victims lives immeasurably. Hang in there my dear. You have taken the first step by naming your abuser, my next step was confronting my abusers. I was only brave enough to do that though, after years of therapy and mental breakdowns but that confrontation and subsequently stopping all contact and communication with my abusers. I pray that you too will find peace and not allow your father’s sick actions to forever negatively impact your life. It will be a struggle but remember you deserve peace and happiness and you are worthy of love. And young man, God bless you for loving her inspite of and despite of.
