The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, family, and friends, including Mrs. Paula Frederick-Hunte, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Governor General (extreme left in the official photograph), Ms. Nicole Martin, newly sworn Notary Public (third from left), His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda (fourth from left) and other well-wishers who gathered to celebrate this significant milestone.

His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, officially swore in Ms. Nicole Dannielle Martin as the newest Notary Public for the State of Antigua and Barbuda during a formal ceremony held at Government House on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Ms. Martin’s appointment was made by Acting Chief Justice, His Lordship Mario Michel, in accordance with Section 2(1) of the Notaries Public Act, Cap 295 of the revised laws of Antigua and Barbuda (1992).

Following the issuance of her instrument by the Chief Justice, His Excellency the Governor General administered the oath, formally empowering her to execute the duties of a Notary Public.

At the swearing-in ceremony, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams congratulated Ms. Martin and emphasized the significance of her new role.

As a Notary Public, she will be responsible for certifying documents, administering oaths, and serving as an impartial witness in legal transactions, thereby reinforcing trust and credibility within the legal system.

Ms. Martin expressed gratitude for the appointment and pledged to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in carrying out her notarial duties.
