That is absolutely horrifying and inhumane. No one, especially an elderly person with dementia, should ever be treated that way.

Not all 82 year Olds have dementia. Judging from what i saw and heard on the video, during the confrontation with the police officer,, I doubt it!
I do agree that, based on what was shown in the video, the arresting officer could have exercised some restraint in dealing with an elderly person. The arresting officer needs to give account for his horrific handling of the matter. Was the red vehicle an official police vehicle? Why was the old man forced into the “trunk” of the vehicle.? Did the old man ever get an answer to the question he kept asking the officer i.e.”What is the charge?”(or words to that effect). Very disturbing video.
I hope a lawsuit is coming soon for that poor professional display by that police officer…is there no legal and professional expectations for officers?….if this was done by an ordinary citizen, would it not justify charges for assault?
This seems alittle too harsh to me. I don’t know the full extent of the situation but the way he was dragged. Also why didn’t he just comply? Just saying.

This is horrifying to watch from the US. It is depressing to watch this type of abuse from the authorities. Why is put in the trunk of the car? What is the crime he committed? He is 82 and cannot runaway.
Dirty cops. I understand that the man who just had a stroke BTW packed illegally. This is why he was dragged like a dog and treated in such an inhumane way. Time will tell. Policemen will have their day
That is a total disgrace of the royal police force of Antigua and Barbuda. He needs to be disciplined and lose his job. I will never do business in that bank again if I see that police assifer in that bank again. That is so disgusting.
