PM Browne urges local contractors to partner up in order to land capital project contracts

Local contractors are being urgently called to unite and collaborate to tackle significant projects, as failing to do so could result in their displacement by competing international firms.

Prime Minister Browne made these remarks following the recent negotiations for a substantial contract with a Canadian company.

The contract involves comprehensive upgrades to VC Bird International Airport, amounting to an impressive $47 million.

His statements on Saturday highlighted the pressing need for local entities to join forces and seize opportunities in the face of increasing competition.

  1. I hope local contractors can get it because in Barbuda is all overseas contractors there and ecm is sneaking in Antigua to overthrow local Antiguan and bringing in Belize and Mexican workers in Antigua

  2. We don’t know how to work as a team cause somebody always want to be the one in charge.
Anyway that’s not a bad idea I hope some contractions can come together to secure that contract

  3. PM Browne, you need to focus on paying the local contractors the millions of dollars the government has owed them for years! The government of Antigua and Barbuda owed local contractors millions of dollars for contracted work performed or done.

  4. Premises should be the first choice
