​A man who was arrested last week for unlawful possession of cannabis and ammunition has been remanded to prison pending his trial.

Thirty-six-year-old Javin Maynard of Cedar Grove was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of five .25 rounds of ammunition and unlawful possession of 37.5 grams of Cannabis.

On Friday, February 28, police officers executed a warrant at his residence and found the illegal items in his possession.

 

He appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel yesterday and admitted to the cannabis charge but not the ammunition.

He was remanded until May 21 when he will return to court for trial.

    • Nobody should be caught with a firearm in this day and age especially since they are being apprehended so fast. I hear guns are sold for 200 and 400 in Antigua. Is that trie?
