Acting Police Commissioner, Mr. Everton Jeffers salutes the women of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, as they celebrate International Women’s Day with the rest of the world.
In a congratulatory message, Mr. Jeffers told female officers to let their service to the organization and the nation of Antigua and Barbuda continue to be exemplified by their leadership qualities. He said, “As you celebrate, may this day remind you of your purpose and calling to serve in this noble profession.”
He thanked both past and present serving members for their sacrifices and valuable contributions to nation building. He further pledged his continued support to ensure women are afforded equal opportunities in a male-dominated organization.
On Sunday, March 9, female officers will spend the day at a retreat in recognition of International Women’s Day. Several guest speakers were invited to be share in the event, which takes place at AUA from 8am to 5pm.
International Women’s Day 2025 is celebrated under the theme: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,”.
It shouldnt have to take a special day to recognise women. But i understand the essence behind it. Our women are strong. Beautiful and so many things a man cannot be. Bask in your element ladies

There’s just a special day for women only. to truly call them out on their wonders. why not talk about how the media was quiet when it was international men day? they weren’t recognised like the women are being placed on pedastals. so lets stop the nonesense.
