Funeral Homes Decline to Accept Partially Decomposed Body Discovered in Swetes

12 March 2025 - 09:24

Reliable sources have confirmed that the two funeral homes in Antigua and Barbuda have declined to accept the partly decomposed body discovered in Swetes Village last night.

The authorities were alerted to the grim find, and reliable sources have indicated that the remains are still at the site.

Local officials are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body, with added concerns about the health and safety implications of leaving the remains unattended.

The refusal by local funeral homes raises questions about existing protocols and resources for handling such cases.

The authorities are urging anyone with information related to the deceased’s identity or the circumstances leading to the discovery to come forward.

  1. Wow, I wasn’t even aware that they could deny bodies. That is such a shame on their part.

  3. I believe there is a deeper underlying reason for the funeral parlors not accepting the body than we are speculating. It’s not the first time a decomposed body has been found

  6. So a decomposed body must come and smell up the other bodies at the funeral home? How contaminated the juices of the cadaver you dont even know. It is better to take care of the living than the dead. The government should dig a hole and put the cadavers in it. Simple

  7. So what are they supposed to do with the body while they await confirmation?
