A new Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) caretaker for the St. George’s constituency will be named on Tuesday following the much-anticipated Primary.
Four candidates will contest the primary election and have been hitting the streets campaigning for months in the area.
Media figure, Joel Rayne, sports administrator and entrepreneur Michael Freeland, former independent senator Bakisha Francis-James and public sector worker and entrepreneur Salim Browne all threw their hats in the ring after.
They were approved during a special executive meeting at the ABLP headquarters, People’s Place.
Registered voters in the constituency who are ABLP members in good standing will be eligible to vote.
The provisional list of voters is set to be published by March 14, and candidates had until March 16 to raise any objections, which must be resolved before the final list is released today, just in time for the primary the following day.
Voting will take place at Potters Primary School from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
We knew the primary was on the horizon cause some if these people have never been so vocal and seen.
Remember is only St George constituents can vote so make sure you preach to the right choir
