Prison Officers Sent Home to “Cool-Off” Amidst Angela Mejia’s Presence

Her Majesty’s Prison

Emotions ran high at His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) yesterday when Angela Mejia arrived in jail.

A few prison wardens had to be sent home yesterday after being overcome with emotions due to the presence of Angela Mejia, the woman who has been charged with the murder of 9-year-old Chantel Crump.

After her court appearance early yesterday morning in the Magistrate’s Court, Mejia was transported to HMP in isolation in the women’s area.

Once arriving, the prison officers, including one or two who reside in Chantel’s community, were overwhelmed with emotions and had issues tending to Mejia because of the situation.

Like the entire population, these officers expressed outrage and said they wanted nothing to do with her, with some even breaking down in tears.

The handful of prison officers were then sent home to compose themselves. They were also informed that they were duty-bound to attend to every inmate within the confines of His Majesty’s Prisons

Concerns about Mejia’s safety are on high alert within HMP, and it was for those safety reasons that she was placed in isolation.

Prisoners as well have expressed their outrage over the matter.

    • Anonymous, bullshit! The elderly and CHILDREN are to be protected at all costs and anyone violating them should pay – be they preacher, teacher, or police officer. Having said that…these jail officers are humans first and foremost. Some are fathers, mothers, uncles and aunties. How the hell do you expect them to feel? A child died at the hands of that bitch, so I commend the officers for not breaking her neck on sight. That’s restraint and professionalism for your anonymous ass!
