In a key meeting early Thursday, Manager and Cluster Lead for the Nature, Climate, and Energy (NCE) Programme, Karima Degia, at UNDP Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, met with Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ambassador Clarence E. Pilgrim.

The discussion focused on ongoing and upcoming projects under the NCE and Prevention, Recovery, and Resilience (PRR) clusters.

The meeting emphasized the importance of these initiatives in addressing the region’s climate and sustainability challenges while building resilience.

UNDP’s multi-country office in the Eastern Caribbean organizes its work around three main thematic areas: Nature, Climate, and Energy, Prevention, Recovery, and Resilience, and Poverty and Governance.

This engagement reflects UNDP’s commitment to supporting sustainable development in the Caribbean, ensuring a future that is resilient and adaptable to climate change.
