Jury members in the murder trial of Shawn Mussington viewed video evidence on Friday showing the accused fleeing shirtless from the scene after allegedly stabbing hairdresser Simone Whyte-Barrington to death on November 14, 2020.

The footage, presented by prosecutors, captured Mussington approaching the Hitachi Centre building at the corner of Tanner and Market streets, where Whyte-Barrington was attending a gathering on the second floor.

After briefly leaving and returning, surveillance video showed Mussington grabbing the 45-year-old Jamaican hairdresser around 8:20pm, before he was seen running down Tanner Street seconds later.

Additional surveillance footage from multiple locations tracked Mussington shirtless through Redcliffe Quay and on Thames Street approximately 19 minutes after the incident.

The trial continues Monday before Justice Tunde Bakre.

  1. Mr. Mussington, if you did the crime, then be prepared to to do time! Foreign demons are creating serious social, political and economic chaos in our tiny State. Time to flush them out for our continued survival. In the meantime we need to rid the State of all active and passive alien trouble makers so we could find JUSTICE FOR CHANTEL NOW!!!!

    • They have been threatening that for years now and it yet to happen. Hopefully Chantal’s abduction will light a fire under the government to install cameras across the island
