Liberta Man Sentenced to Two Months in Prison for Assaulting Woman with Cutlass

Adrian Nurse, a 50-year-old resident of Liberta, has been sentenced to two months in prison after admitting to a series of charges stemming from an alarming incident involving a female victim.

In court on Monday, Nurse pleaded guilty to assaulting Chelsea Matthias, wielding a cutlass as an offensive weapon, and using menacing language.

The incident occurred on March 19, when Nurse approached Matthias armed with a cutlass, allegedly with the intention to inflict harm.

Reports indicate that he held the weapon just inches away from her face, threatening to harm her.

For his actions, Nurse received a sentence of two months and seven days for the assault, one month for carrying the cutlass, and an additional fourteen days for his threatening behavior.

All sentences will be served concurrently.
