Celebrating World Doctors’ Day: We Honor the Commitment of Our Physicians

31 March 2025 - 05:30

Yesterday marked World Doctor’s Day, a day dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the invaluable contributions of physicians around the globe.

The country took a moment to express gratitude for the tireless efforts of doctors who dedicate their lives to the health and well-being of others.

Here at Antigua.news, we want to thank our medical practitioners here for all their hard work.

The COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, has underscored the extraordinary challenges faced by healthcare professionals and the resilience they have shown in caring for their communities.

As we reflect on the contributions of our physicians, let us continue to support their work and recognize their sacrifices. On this special day, we extend our deepest thanks to all doctors for their unwavering dedication and service to the community. Thank you for all that you do!

  3. Every day is Doctors’ day in Antigua! Every day they rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars from unsuspecting poor people. In Antigua a regular visit to a private doctor with a duration of ten to fifteen minutes normally costs minimally $200. On one neighboring island, your could have a SIMILAR service from an equally qualified doctor for $80. Sorry, Every day is Doctors ‘ day. I will NOT join the misguided band of well wishers -at least not for those living and/practicing here.

  5. Faithful National #1 and Antigua Surf who’s in agreement please be aware that the government dig their hands in the pockets of poor people more than the doctors do. the doctors only salary comes from seeing patients but the government on the other hand raises taxes every 2 hours, but the pay stays the same for almost 20 centuries. like wanna talk about the hike in vehicle fees? wanna talk about social security? cause it went up at the start of the year. an yet still pensioners still cannot recieve what they put in years of service for. In closing, the government aren’t saving our lives, but the doctors can.
