32-year-old resident of Jennings is expected to know his fate this morning, after he pleaded guilty to the possession of a dangerous modified weapon.
Steven Roberts entered his plea on Wednesday during a court appearance before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel at St. John’s Magistrates’ Court.
The charges stem from a police raid conducted on March 25, during which officers found a modified nail gun and two 9mm rounds of ammunition. A woman who was initially charged alongside Roberts was released after pleading not guilty.
Roberts’ admission of guilt has paved the way for his sentencing hearing, which is set for this morning.
