Diversion Plan on Valley Rd for works at Culvert 4+441 in Jennings

The Project Implementation Management Unit within the Ministry of Works has considered the public’s interest in reducing the impact of a road closure on Valley Road North (VRN) over the weekend.

Special Notice is given that major culvert work in Jennings, between the Cedar Hall Moravian Church Junction and the turn off to the Jolly Harbour back entrance, is rescheduled for Sunday, 6th April, 2025.

Vehicular traffic travelling south, beyond the Cedar Hall Moravian Church Junction, shall turn right on Monterey Road and follow the diversion signs to bypass the work areas and regain access to VRN.

Vehicular traffic travelling north, to destinations beyond Jennings, shall turn left at the junction with the road leading to Jolly Harbour back entrance and follow the diversion signs to regain access to VRN.

Flag persons will be employed. The general public is encouraged to follow all instructions to ensure a cautious and safe passageway, as heavy-duty equipment will operate onsite.

Large vehicles are advised against traversing the temporary bypass route.

Stakeholders are asked to adjust their travel plans to allow for delays.

C. O. Williams sincerely regrets the inconvenience. The road work is being carried out under the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project.

Telephone queries can be made by calling the C.O. Williams Project office at 562-9573.
